Cannons of the Head

Some dumb and maybe not-so-dumb headcanons I have for characters and worldbuilding.

The Familiar

Luther is afraid of cats.
Of the Terrible Trio (Luther, Jingjing, Isandorno), Jingjing's able to hold his liquor the most. Conversely, Isandorno's a lightweight.
Once Xanther gets older, she becomes more lenient on the rest of her family eating meat. She herself remains a vegetarian, however. She also becomes more chill with using leather.
Xanther had read Warrior Cats a year before the events of Vol1, but she only remembered about it once she acquired Redwood. She's quite fond of both Snowkit and Cloudtail.
While Astair is estranged from her religious family, she does take the time to send them postcards.
The Ibrahim family does not own any Nintendo consoles. Lately, the twins have been begging for a 3DS.
Isandorno rarely loses at video games, but he's sort of a sore loser when he does. It's one of the only times he'll ever visibly show his anger.
Jingjing gets annoyed whenever someone mistakes his monster cards to be from Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh.
Isandorno watches Dragon Ball Z (like a true Mexican! (joke)) and can be real opinionated about it. Luther has not watched it, something Isandorno gives him flack for- in his usual stoic way, of course.
In her later years, Xanther gets into anime, specifically the magical girl genre. Sometimes, in the privacy of her room, she pretends to be one, with Redwood as her mascot.
Adding onto the former bullet point, Isandorno related to Homura Akemi the most, for reasons elaborated in the main The Familiar page. (coming soon!)
Technically there is subtext in the book for this headcanon to not make it one, but since it's not explicitly stated: Luther closet bisexual. He in extreme denial about also liking men.

House of Leaves

Technically this is canon thanks to the pilot screenplay, but Johnny wears glasses. Still debating whether they're fashion-only or if he can't see clearly without them.
Lude has an unrequited crush on Johnny. Because of this, he's insanely jealous when Thumper comes along, as she's someone his crush is genuinely fixated on.
I don't really know what Johnny's sexuality would be- or rather, would be fitting
Thumper raises her kid as a single mom post-HoL events. She thinks of Johnny often, and has even considered getting a tattoo of a deer in his memory.
If Johnny and Luther were to ever meet in some epic crossover, they would immediately attempt to beat the shit out of each other. Meanwhile, Luther and Lude would get along (bonding over coping over their bisexuality), and ditto with Jingjing and Johnny (liars).
Most of the sex scenes Johnny rambled about were true. Tatania and maybe the Australian lass are the only ones that were possibly made up.

Katamari series

Since a handful of the new Katamari cousins didn't get gendered pronouns in their descriptions, I'll do my own: Perah is male (he/him), Cosmi is female (she/her), Chamba is male (he/they), Asura is nonbinary (they/them), and Clay is nonbinary (they/he). This is probably the only time I do a pronoun hc to be honest.
Clip-Clop will occasionally let other cousins ride in-between their heads. Clop explicitly forbids cousins such as Twinkle and Drooby to ride, for obvious reasons.
Odeko is jealous of both Dangle and Cosmi, as their faces allow a high viewing point.
Skateboarding and doing graffiti art are hobbies Milky enjoys doing.
Kuro is often bugged by Milky into hanging out with her.
Miso makes sure not to give Opeo any miso soup, as too much sodium isn't good for him.
